Battle Pixie

My latest client is Battle Pixie https://www.instagram.com/battle_pixie_real/. She's a miniature painter and wanted to commission a logo that would show off her namesake.

The original specifications called for a pixie with a Mad Moxxi/Tank Girl vibe impaling a Warhammer marine on her brush, but fearing copyright violations we went with a more generic type of space marine.

With the pixie herself I used pinups, steampunk clothing, Mad Moxxi and Tank Girl as my inspiration. For the marine, I used a bit of Halo, Destiny, Warhammer, and Starcraft. I used her own Instagram page to try to pin down the colors I wanted to use for her. This was a fun project to work on that let me explore some areas that I usually don't work with, especially the straps and laces.
